Day 1, Sunday 1st August
UK - Seoul
Fly from London Heathrow Airport on our direct flight to Seoul, South Korea. Our overnight flight will likely leave in the early evening, arriving in our destination on Monday afternoon (local time). Please note that Seoul is GMT+9 so they will be 8 hours ahead of UK time during WYD27.
Day 2, Monday 2nd August
Seoul
After our overnight flight, we arrive in Seoul/Incheon Airport today (likely time of arrival is late afternoon, local time). Transfer to our hotel in Seoul where we will stay for the next 7 nights. Check in followed by free time.
Day 3, Tuesday 3rd August
Seoul – WYD Opening Mass
Breakfast in the hotel.
WYD events:
- Opening Mass: WYD begins with an opening Mass presided over by the Ordinary of the diocese hosting the event.
- Reconciliation Center and Vocational Fair

Day 4, Wednesday 4th August
Seoul – WYD
Breakfast in the hotel.
WYD events:
- Cathechesis: Pilgrims join bishops for catechesis.
- Youth Festival: Various events for young people are held around the host diocese.
- Reconciliation Center and Vocational Fair

Day 5, Thursday 5th August
Seoul – WYD
Breakfast in the hotel.
WYD events:
- Papal Welcome Ceremony: Young people gather with excitement to welcome the Holy Father on Thursday afternoon.
- Cathechesis: Pilgrims join bishops for catechesis.
- Youth Festival: Various events for young people are held around the host diocese.
- Reconciliation Center and Vocational Fair

Day 6, Friday 6th August
Seoul – WYD
Breakfast in the hotel.
WYD events:- Way of the Cross: The Pope and the pilgrims gather together to meditate on the Way of the Cross prepared for them by young people.
- Cathechesis: Pilgrims join bishops for catechesis.
- Youth Festival: Various events for young people are held around the host diocese.
- Reconciliation Center and Vocational Fair:

Day 7, Saturday 7th August
Seoul – WYD – Vigil
Breakfast in the hotel.
WYD events:
- Vigil: all the pilgrims move to the venue for the Closing Mass. With the Holy Father, they pray and adore the Eucharist before settling in to spend the night there. Exact timetable yet to be released.
Day 8, Sunday 8th August
Seoul – WYD – The Closing Mass
Breakfast in the hotel.
WYD events:
- The Closing Mass: As Sunday dawns, the pilgrims celebrate Mass with the Pope. After the Closing Mass, the Holy Father announces the host of the next World Youth Day.

Day 9, Monday 9th August
Seoul - UK
After breakfast, we check out of the hotel and transfer to the airport for our direct flight back to the UK.
Flight time will likely be late morning, arriving back in the UK late afternoon (GMT).
